i almost all the manips i see with my photos, so i can keep track of how people use the picture. it is a good exercise for all graphic artists out there to see what already exists, and veer away from it and do something personal. i know almost all the tricks of graphic design aren't new anymore. but what is personal is what swims in each of our heads, what stirs in our hearts.

i also have observed that there is soooo much angry and painful images. understandable. it's tough for us to cope with this whole information overload in the world and still struggle to feel worthy and good. but i do encourage all of you to draw and create happy pictures too.

i feel it is easier to bitch than to praise. praise the sunny day, praise the yummy dinner you had, praise the funky clothes you've got (or you've got hidden in your closet). good. praise jokes and odd people and children and their invisible friends. draw it, write about it. DA is a direct reflection of the emotions running in the users minds. a lot is dark. it's not wrong, but maybe each of us can find a balance. a little source of happy.

i put this up because one of my peves is not being able to find images online where i have to waaaait and waaaait for permission and there are requirements that i link back my edits to the original photographer, blah blah.
